About Sam Deep
Sam Deep launched his leadership development career in 1985 after 15 years of teaching and administration at the University of Pittsburgh. Since then, he has spoken in front of more than a quarter of a million people, and his 18 internationally published books have sold over two million copies in 14 languages. According to best-selling author and motivational speaker Denis Waitley, his books are known for “brilliantly cutting through to the core values and actions that produce results.”
Sam's ideas about management have been quoted in newspapers and magazines far and wide as well as on CNN-FN, CNBC, and WGN Radio, Chicago. He served for eight years as adjunct professor of leadership and strategy at the Carnegie Mellon University Graduate School of Business. He also hosted Following the Leader, a weekly program on KQV radio in Pittsburgh focused on building corporate leaders.
His current consulting services include executive coaching, leadership development, team building, and strategic planning. His seven-month Leadership Academy equips emerging leaders for future C-Suite responsibilities. First-line supervisors learn how to get the best out of their people with the three-day Steel-Spiked Servant workshop. The Leaders Take Action workshops direct executives, managers, and supervisors to the actions that will improve the bottom line. The more comprehensive Ten Attributes of High-Performing Organizations initiative leads companies, schools, hospitals, and other institutions to their next level of success.
A sampling of clients he has served includes Alcoa, American Bankers Association, American Dental Association, American Electric Power, American Society of Association Executives, Austrian National Bank, Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Bayer Corporation, Bombardier Transportation, Caribe Hilton Hotel, Carolina Cattleman's Association, Charleston Area Medical Center, Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Deloitte & Touche, Eaton, Grant Thornton, GS1 US, Hallmark Cards, Heinz USA, International Customer Service Association, Ketchum Communications, Mellon Bank, Mercer Consulting, Merck, New York University, OfficeMax, PNC, PPG Industries, Pittsburgh Symphony, PriceSmart, Puerto Rico Hotel and Tourism Association, Target, The Smithsonian, United Mental Health, U.S. Foodservice, Veterans Administration, Wabtec, Westinghouse, and Young Life.

He is listed as one of the world's top experts in sales strategies in the book "Mastering the World of Selling" by Eric Taylor and David Riklan. In the words of international marketing expert Jay Abraham, "You are a star. Not merely because of your following and reputation. Your status is deservedly earned by the original thinking you share and the deeply impacting concepts you offer up."
The impact of Sam's counsel confirms why best-selling author Tom Peters claimed this of his work: “You and your teams will come away with practical ways to implement positive change in the gut-level day-to-day experience."
